We are delighted to celebrate the award of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences to Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aghion, and Peter Howitt “for having explained innovation-driven economic growth.”

This recognition of their groundbreaking contributions to growth theory is particularly meaningful to our academic community.

We are honored to have hosted Philippe Aghion as keynote speaker at the Augustin Cournot Doctoral Days in 2017, where he shared his insights with our doctoral researchers.

His work on endogenous growth theory and creative destruction continues to inspire new generations of scholars investigating the mechanisms of sustained economic progress.

We extend our congratulations to the laureates and look forward to fostering continued excellence in doctoral research at the intersection of innovation, growth, and economic development.
