Incentives matter! In many fields such as work motivation, environment conservation or education attendance, incentive mechanisms are used to modify individual behaviour. However given budgetary constraints more and more nonmonetary incentives are proposed and/or used as a policy tool. The session will present and discuss general aspects of nonmonetary incentives. The nonmonetary incentives can be framed or not, resulting on social information or be the kind of the now well-known nudges. The aim is to provide useful knowledge of the existence of the behavioural mechanism behind nonmonetary intervention and experimental evidence of their effectiveness.
