La leçon doctorale portera sur le thème : French Firm Data, cost functions and firm size: estimation and simulations
This doctoral lecture has three objectives:
The first one is to present a data set with French firms active in manufacturing, and discuss some stylized facts and research topics that can investigated be with this data
The second is to present a recent contribution using this data and characterizing the short and long-run Cournot equilibrium with heterogeneous firms and stochastic technological change.
The third objective is to study and run some R codes to illustrate the shortcomings of classical data analysis and econometrics when unobserved heterogeneity and endogeneity is pervasive.
